Photos and Descriptions of Our Work
All kinds of trailers, all kinds of solutions
Steve Heald is the owner and does most of the repair work. As you can see from the photos, many of these trailers reflect the owner's personalities and preferences. While some renovations are structural, tehcnical, or required maintenance; others require great creativity and an artistic mindset. We work on all types of trailers and Rvs— BBQ trailers, flatbeds, stock trailers, living quarters trailers, toy haulers, and boat trailers. We handle the following types of restoration and construction— sandblasting, painting, body work, roofing and water damage, steel and aluminum welding, frame repair, plumbing, electrical, flooring, carpentry, cabinetry, solar installation (with direction), jack installation, wiring, awning installation, fans, vents, air conditioners, refrigerators, heaters, television installs, sound systems, system checks, trailer brakes and bearings, trailer axles, and living quarters build-outs.

Getting your trailer to the shop
On ocassion, we sometimes meet clients midway to the shop, or pick up a trailer if client is having a problem hauling. If this is a problem, let us know. We prefer that people do not drop in unannounced, as we need to make sure someone is available to assist you. Please call in advance to arrange your visit.
Meet Steve
Steve Heald is the owner and does most of the restoration and planning for these projects. He also works as a farrier, previously owned and ran a rodeo arena, and rode competitively. He's been around horses and horse people all his life, and understands the lifestyle.
Restoration in Process
This 100 year-old single axle trailer is in the process of a complete restoration. The metal and flooring has been repaired and restored. The next step to completion will be wooden panels on the sides.
Travel trailer interior and exterior
This adorable 1960s vintage travel trailer was given a complete makeover inside and out, staying true to the theme of the times. It's absolutely stunning. For a peak inside this beauty, watch this short video.
Refurbished stock trailer
We repair and refurbish a great deal of stock trailers like this one. The paint has been sanded, rust has been removed, and rewelded as needed. The flooring was also replaced.
Interiors
SK Trailers did the entire conversion for this trailer which was purchased as a shell. The trailer is all electric, paneled in pine, has a full bath, shower, kitchen, generator, wall-mounted television, and accent lighting.
Solar system with rubber roofing paint
SK Trailers installed this 800-watt solar system to power a trailer for primitive camping and endurance riding. The Uniflex rubber roofing paint was added to increase insulation and protect trailer from leaks. SK Trailers also installed the air conditioning cover and Max Air fan and hood.
Directions
The photo shows the angled drive as seen heading southwest from Hartfield Road. The drive is angled, and large rigs should access via Hartfield Road. If driving south on 775 from I-10, turn left on Hartfield, then right on Hartfield, and right on 412 (Blue Creek). The gate is next door to a house at 3222 Blue Creek. There is a small sign at the entrance. You will need to get the gate code into the trailer parking area in advance.
